Hannah Harris (’13) graduated with a BA in Visual Communications and currently works for Levi’s. This year she styled looks for the Kid’s Rock Fashion Show during Fashion Week, including all of the Levi’s boys looks as well as doodled, dip dyed, and destructed pieces in each look. Photos included.
Insane Comics recently announced the release of a new comic and artistic team. Chase Dunham (’14) is illustrating SINEATER which will be available in May.
JoJo King authored the comic, centered around Cassandra.
Cassandra is an orphan. No family and no friends. Nobody to care for her except for an old homeless man names Potnik. Unfortunately, Cassandra is also the villages designates SinEater. She is tasked with the burden of consuming the demons and evil inside every person crossing over to the next life. Cassandra is afraid. It is becoming increasingly difficult to bear one one of the heaviest burdens of all upon her shoulders: living with the sins of others.
The 11th Annual Student Design Competition is going to be held on Friday, March 20 2015. High School Students involved in graphic design are invited, signup by February 20, 2015.
Gallery reception and awards ceremony will be held at 4pm in the Quimby Gallery.
Jess Curley was awarded a $1,000 scholarship for her entry in the PACK-tastic design competition. This design was created in Package Design with professor Glentz-Brush.
Diego Melendez received an International Design Award from How Design, a leading business and creativity magazine for graphic designers, This was 1 of 242 awards out of nearly 1000 entries world-wide in 2012. Additionally he has earned 6 national awards from Graphic Design USA and 3 international awards from the Association of Marketing and Communications Professionals.
